While looking for a good kennel to house my new best friend while I may my be away for extended periods I came across this service in Toronto which caught my eye. What stands out about it is that it is run by woman who is passionate about dogs, especially large breeds. She also sells a really neat (can I still say that?) line of home made collars and dogs accessories. Even thought she is a bit far for me if her services are what I’m looking for (and so far they seem to be) I’d be more than willing ...

I just finished watching a great documentary about the controversy over the practices of breeders in the UK called “Pedigree Dogs Exposed”. It was a real eye opener and has me rethinking the practice of buying a puppy from a registered breeder, especially one that openly admits they breed for shows.
