July, 2000: Jewel takes 1st place in a large 12 - 18 month bitch class at the Golden Retriever Club of Canada's National Specialty !

October, 2000:At the 2000 GRCA National Specialty held in St. Louis, Jewel got a 1st in the Novice Bitch class, a strong class of 12 beautiful girls. In her critique of the 2000 National Specialty, judge Cheryl Shaw had this to say about our Jewel: Novice bitch - 1st place: "This bitch has very good proportions with an excellent topline and good angulation front and rear. She has good body, however on the day was lacking in coat. She has good arch of neck and a strong head, a little doggy for my liking. Presented in good hard condition, she has excellent reach and drive, and held her topline on the move." Shown to the right is the beautiful trophy she won!
