When I started this website, it began as a list of links to Canadian canine supply websites, and a page of links to other user's homepages. Very quickly this website grew into so much more.
I'm striving to stock this site full of information about Golden Retrievers in Canada. Those of us who own Golden Retrievers know just how special these animals are, and how much they deserve to be in the best home possible. With this website, I hope to educate potential buyers to what Golden Retrievers are really like, their advantages, as well as their disadvantages in the hopes that the choice to adopt a Golden is a well thought out and researched process. This site is also for new dog owners - to link them up with helpful health advice, and to provide essays to discourage random breeding. Another goal of the site is to bring together different areas of Golden Retriever Ownership - those of us who breed responsibly, those of us to are active is rescuing and rehoming dogs, as well as all who participate in obedience trials, conformation, therapy work, or field trials. My goal is for us help each other learn about the different activities that we can compete in with our Goldens. On a larger scale, the website helps us meet other Golden Retriever owners across our country, as well as across the world through the discussion forum and corresponding email list.
The cost of this website are fairly substantial - they include hosting and registration fees, and server and website maintenance costs. Any donations towards the site would be appreciated so I can continue to make the site available for all, and to grow and improve on all its features.
